Healthcare Nutrition Council

HNC works to ensure patients have access to the specialized nutrition support therapies they need. HNC continues to educate and collaborate with legislative and regulatory representatives, patient and consumer advocacy groups, academia, industry and other stakeholders to promote awareness of the impact of nutrition on health and ensure people have access to specialized nutrition support therapies.

Mission Statement

To improve health by advancing policies and supporting regulations that: address and raise awareness of nutrition and its impact on patient outcomes and healthcare costs; promote nutritional screening, diagnosis, assessment and appropriate and timely nutritional clinical interventions; and, maintain and promote patients’ access to specialized nutrition support therapies and services throughout the continuum of care.
